About Reference Numbers

Appendix: About Reference Numbers

• Reference Number: A unique identifier for corporate action information notifications.

• CA Reference Number: The reference number of the corporate action information notification that is subject to correction or deletion. For new notifications, this is the same as the reference number.

Naming Convention

• Reference numbers and CA reference numbers are generated by combining the following three elements:

1. Registration Date (YYYYMMDD): The date when the data was registered, expressed in 8 digits. (Example: January 1, 2019 is 20190101, December 25, 2020 is 20201225)

2. Fixed Value (xx): A 2-digit fixed value determined for each data item.

3. Sequential Number (nnnnn): A 5-digit sequential number starting from "00001" for each registration date. If multiple data entries are registered on the same day, this number increases by 1.

Example: If the data registration date is January 1, 2022, and the fixed value is "1B", the first ID would be "202201011B00001". If a second data entry is registered on the same day, it would be "202201011B00002".
